About the event

The Northern Kentucky Forum is committed to giving the citizens of Northern Kentucky the opportunity to meet local leaders who help shape our region’s life. One of the newest leaders in our region is Lindsey Rechtin, who became President/CEO of the Northern Kentucky Water District (NKWD) a year ago. Rechtin has been with NKWD since 2013, first as Finance Manager, then as Vice President of Finance and Support Services, and now as NKWD’s leader.

She’ll be our guest for a Forum morning café. These events last an hour and give thought leaders in our community the opportunity to talk about their role and answer your questions. Rechtin has overseen NKWD during a time when safe, reliable water has been very much on the American agenda, with water shortages in some parts of the nation, the East Palestine, Ohio contamination, and lingering questions in parts of the country over lead contamination from old pipes.

Are those concerns ones that Northern Kentuckians should worry about? What challenges face our water supply? What improvements and changes might we expect in water service in the coming years? Can our water supply keep up with our region’s growth? Rechtin will discuss those questions and others at our Forum.

In-person at the Kenton County Public Library Erlanger Branch or join us virtually via Zoom.
